Nathaniel Kostar

Nathaniel Kostar was born in Trenton and grew up in Princeton and Roosevelt, NJ. He spent the first half of his existence playing basketball and the last 7 years playing with syllables and sounds. He has performed his work and been featured at various notable venues, including The Nuyorican Poets Café, The Bowery Poetry Café, and the NJ State Theatre. He has studied Ezra Pound in the Dorf Tyrol, Italy, trained Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand, and worked as an English teacher in Seoul, South Korea. His chapbook Sun Rise: A Poet’s Guide to Haad Rin and the Full Moon is forthcoming from DAT Press. He currently works, reads, and writes from his home in New Orleans—where he is also working on his MFA in Creative Writing.
